Subject: [Student First Name], Consider Withdrawing from [Course Name]

Hi,

I hope all is well. According to my records, your performance in my course [Course Section Id] is currently at a level where passing is unlikely. If my records are incorrect, be sure to let me know. To minimize the consequences of a failing grade, you may want to consider withdrawing.

If you decide to withdraw, you will receive a W for your final grade. A W is not included in your GPA and may provide more options for you in the future. The last day to withdraw from full-semester classes is Monday, April 2, 2018, which is also the deadline to change to the credit/no credit or audit grade option.

Before you take any action, I’d urge you to discuss these options with your counselor. Withdrawing from a course may impact your current or future financial aid, VA benefits, scholarship, F-1 visa requirements, etc. To find your counselor, log into MySuccess in the My Success Network on the left. I’ll also ask our support team to reach out to you.

We’re looking forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
[Raiser Name]
