Preparing Content for Online Publishing

Requesting alterations to existing KCC website

  1. Cross check your new content with the “Writer’s Style Guide” to ensure that your content meets standards.
    1. Spell-check
    2. Avoid duplicating “core” content — documents such as online forms and course materials are routinely updated and changed. Avoid having your work made obsolete or incorrect by directing your page to link out to verified sources rather than duplicating a local copy.
  2. Approve and have your department chair submit the request to the web-team via CELTT. (We will only accept requests via department chairs or their pre-appointed point person we have on record). It is suggested that each administrative office appoint an Identity Coordinator to guide identity use and ensure that all standards in the identity guidelines are maintained. Coordinators are expected to monitor performance of the identity within their offices and to ensure consistency.

KCC Homepage Requests

The one exception to the above rules is for information needed to be posted on our homepage. Any homepage modifications will be expected to be approved by the following individuals. It would help to expedite the process if these individuals would submit this request on your behalf:
  • Louise Pagotto
  • Carol Hoshiko
  • Joanne Whitaker
  • Brian Furuto
  • Brenda Ivelisse
